Stream Live Service

Alexey Formin built Stream Live as a free browser extension and related service for tracking live broadcasts and sending notifications when selected channels go live.

This Privacy Policy explains what information Stream Live collects, how it is used, and how it is protected. By using Stream Live, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

Information Stream Live Collects

Stream Live collects only the information needed to provide, maintain, and improve the extension and related service.

• Extension identifier. Stream Live creates and stores a technical user token so the extension can sync settings with the Stream Live server and recognize the same installation on future requests.
• Settings and channel data. Stream Live stores the streaming platforms and channels you add, pinned or favorite channels, notification preferences, display settings, import/export data, and premium status.
• Platform authorization data. If you choose to sign in to a supported streaming platform or add an authorization token, Stream Live stores the data required to fetch your channel list, check live status, and display account information inside the extension.
• Broadcast data. Stream Live receives information about tracked broadcasts, such as channel names, stream titles, thumbnails, viewer counts, categories, and live/offline status.
• Usage and diagnostic data. Stream Live may collect extension usage events, feature interactions, error logs, extension version, browser information, request time, and similar technical data needed to analyze usage, diagnose problems, and improve reliability.
• Feedback data. If you send feedback, Stream Live collects the message, optional contact information, app version, and related technical details needed to understand and respond to the feedback.

Stream Live does not collect or transmit your general browsing history. Access to supported streaming websites is used only for user-facing features such as adding channels, importing channels, opening broadcasts, and completing authorization flows.

How Stream Live Uses Information

The collected information is used only for the following purposes:

• to provide live broadcast tracking and browser notifications;
• to store and sync your channel list and extension settings;
• to connect supported streaming platform accounts when you request it;
• to import, export, and restore settings between devices;
• to process premium status and show premium limits;
• to analyze extension usage and improve user-facing features;
• to diagnose errors, prevent abuse, and keep the service reliable;
• to receive and respond to feedback.

Limited Use and Data Sharing

Stream Live does not sell, rent, or share user data for advertising, profiling, data brokerage, or resale. Stream Live does not use user data to serve personalized, retargeted, or interest-based advertisements.

User data is used only to provide and improve Stream Live's single purpose: tracking live broadcasts across supported streaming platforms and notifying users about selected channels. Any use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

If you choose to use premium features, payment is completed through an external payment page. Stream Live uses the payment result only to activate or extend premium status and does not store full payment card details.

Storage and Retention

Some data is stored locally in the browser extension, and some data is stored on the Stream Live server so the service can sync settings and fetch broadcast updates. Authorization data and channel settings are kept only as long as needed to provide the selected features.

You can remove channels, disconnect platform authorization, change settings, or uninstall the extension at any time. You may also request deletion of server-side data associated with your Stream Live token by using the contact address below.

Cookies

Stream Live does not use cookies for tracking, analytics, advertising, or user identification.

Security

Stream Live uses commercially reasonable measures to protect user data, including secure transmission where personal or sensitive data is sent between the extension and the server. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

Links to Other Sites

Stream Live may contain links to other sites, including streaming platforms and payment pages. These external sites are not operated by Stream Live. Users are advised to review the privacy policies of those websites. Stream Live has no control over and assumes no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of third-party sites or services.

Children's Privacy

Stream Live is not intended for children under 16. Stream Live does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. If you have reason to believe that a child has provided personal information through Stream Live, please use the contact address below so appropriate action can be taken.
